My family has been ordering from here for about 15 years. We love the pizza. We've ordered other meals, and while they have been good, they haven't been great. The place recently changed hands, and I've noticed some changes in quality and ingredients - but not huge changes - not enough to look around for a new place. So if you want a great pizza, calzone or 'boli, this is the place. Also, give the garlic knots a try! They put FRESH garlic on them, not garlic powder like some other places do.

We have been here a few times for dinner. Great family restaurant with family size meals. For the garlic bread it is homemade and they give you a full loaf! Side salad comes with Italian deli meats and is great. We've had the lasagna, shrimp scampi, pizza all very good. Would not recommend the squid as it was tough and chewy. Dessert calzone was great. If your looking for a small, quaint Italian family style restaurant I recommend.

The food & service is outstanding. Hard to find authentic Italian food and finding this little place was a pleasant surprise. Meat sauce was so good and my cousin raved about the stuffed shells. Don't judge by the exterior, go in and enjoy

Typical story... I'm from nj and moved to fl. Took 3 years to find a pizza place but I eventually did. The search is over folks. Go here. It's actual real pizza with a thin crust and melt in your mouth cheese. Not the fake Crap everyone else in this state has. Try it out.

I'm giving Sorrento's five stars first and foremost for their humanity. My mother in law passed away earlier today and I needed to find a place for a small catering size meal for the wake. I looked up something heading down Babcock from the hospital to the house and saw Sorrento's reviews. I decided to take a shot and they exceeded any expectation I might have had. I explained my situation to the manager Chuck and he suggested a set up. Ordered 12 chicken parm equivalent meals with bread and salad and Chuck and his staff had the order ready in under 30 min. It was probably much faster but I was tied up and didn't notice till they were done. The food was fantastic with the chicken moist and the pasta and salad perfect. I'm from out of town, but Chuck and his team has a customer for life because of their compassion and customer service. Thanks from my family.

We ordered from Sorrento's Sunday evening. I'm new to the area and I wanted to order local. The first time I tried to order a younger guy answered the phone and was very rude to me. I called back and an older man answered (very gruff) he then asked me how to get to the house.. I don't even know where you are... I've never had to give directions to a pizza place before.... GPS?!? I ordered two pizzas. One large pepperoni and one large meat lovers. I was told that my total was $59... FOR TWO PIZZAS?!?!??!! I questioned him and he said "Oh... I...um made a mistake." Hell ya you did. My new total was $38. That still seemed high. When the pizza arrived I asked for a receipt so I could see how much each pizza cost and I was told that they don't give receipts. SHADY. I would have given two stars but the pizza was delicious. Very good. Not sure if I will be back. I'll have to try some other places first.

My goodness. How do you get Lasagna and garlic bread wrong?!? The lasagna: Swimming in grease, overcooked (burnt in one bite) and so much cheese I couldn't taste the meat. The garlic bread: hard as a rock and with large flecks of what I can only hope was garlic. Overall, the worst meal I've ever had. The service also left A LOT to be desired.

The menu looks good with lot's of Italian variety - but I haven't ventured too far from a nice Stromboli, or some Pastafazool. Great lunch spot if you're in the area and looking for a little variety. The iced tea usually seems to be a little "off" (unsweetened Iced Tea drinkers will know what I mean) so, maybe go for a glass of water or something else. I recommend a Stromboli loaded with pepperoni, onions, garlic, mushrooms, hot peppers, with a side of marinara dipping sauce to get you over the mid-day hump. The thing is absolutely huge.

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
